Co-op Program
Boost your resume, earn money and real-world experience, and build a network of contacts with our co-operative education program. Complete three work terms in challenging professional workplaces across Atlantic Canada. We also have also some national and international placements available.
Co-op lets you explore potential career paths, and impress future employers with solid work experience in your chosen field.
Co-op requirements
The Co-op Program is an optional program for Sobey School of Business students.
To apply for the program, you must:
- Normally have completed a minimum of 45 credit hours at the end of the term in which you are applying
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.50 (with a minimum degree grade point average of 2.70 to graduate with the Co-op distinction)
- Transfer students must be enrolled in SMU full-time before applying for Co-op
- Declare a major once accepted into the program.
