Res Consent Project Assistants

The Res Consent Project (RCP) was started as a government-funded initiative that aimed to decrease the prevalence of sexual violence through education and awareness programming. Each year, Saint Mary’s University Residences are home to over 1000 students, all of whom have varying knowledge and values surrounding sexual health, relationships, and sexual violence. 

Under the direction of the RCP Coordinator, and under the supervision of the Programming & Engagement Coordinator, the RCP Assistant will be responsible for facilitating active and passive sexual violence awareness and education programming throughout the academic year.  

Start Date: August 27th

Hours: 5 hours/week

*Hours are flexible, evening and weekend hours required  

Rate of Pay: $15.60 per hour  


  • Helping to facilitate interactive booths and events on campus  
  • Providing input on program development based on knowledge and experience 
  • Attending staff meetings and training sessions coordinated by Residence Life 
  • Reaching out to other departments and organizations on and off campus to facilitate collaborations 
  • Other duties as required 


To be eligible, candidates must be a Saint Mary’s University full-time residence student in 2023 - 2024 academic year. Previous student leadership experience in Residence or on campus is a definite asset.

This means that applications are encouraged from all different faculties, ages, cultures, genders and sexual orientations, etc. Candidates do not necessarily require a background in sexual violence prevention work or education; more so candidates should demonstrate in their applications a passion for sexual violence prevention.
