Life in Residence Fall 2022

The First Week on Campus

After moving in, residence students should get a chance to meet their RA and fellow floor members. Your first-floor meeting will take place during the move-in weekend in your floor lounge. Rice students, your floor meeting will be held in your RAs room. Make sure you don’t miss this floor meeting as you will get to meet other students living on your floor.

Apart from your floor meeting, the residence will be hosting events like Welcome to Res, where you get a chance to meet the residence staff and get to know about the residence policies through a skit prepared by your RAs. Also, Residence Life organizes RAD Cup where teams from Loyola residence, Vanier Residence, Rice Residence and Off-Campus compete with each other via taking part in fun games that will bring out your competitive and creative skills.

Apart from residence events, Student Affairs and Services and SMUSA organizes several weeks of welcome events, designed to welcome you to campus.
