Dr. Susan Joudrey specializes in the history of settler colonialism, 19th and 20th-century identity construction, performance, and public history, commemoration, and memory institutions. She completed an M.A. in Public History and a Ph.D. at Carleton University. Most recently she has focussed on the history of eugenics in higher education. Susan has worked with Parks Canada and various federal and local museums, and currently holds a position as an Educational Developer in the Centre for Learning and Teaching at Dalhousie University. Her research areas within history and higher education include colonial representations and expectations of Indigeneity, promotion of eugenics in higher education, and ethical curriculum creation and delivery.

Susan teaches Museum Studies, Canadian history, Atlantic Canadian history, and cultural history.
