How Do I Make A Timetable?
Start with a Rough Draft
- Print a Timetable Worksheet.
- Look up classes in Self Service Banner and select what courses you want to register for.
- Visit "How Do I Select Courses" for information regarding course selection.
- Write the course name and CRN (5-digit number) in the appropriate time to ensure you do not have a time conflict.
- After completing your timetable, register for your courses. Visit "How Do I Register For My Courses" for more information.
Manage Your Time
Classes run from 8:30am to 8:30pm.
We recommend you budget six hours of independent reading, studying and assignments for each course. That’s a total of nine hours per week (including class time) for each course.
If possible distribute your courses evenly over the week and try not to schedule three or more classes in succession
Know When Classes Are Offered
Courses scheduled between 8:30am and 4:00pm are generally offered two days per week for 75 minutes each on either Mondays/Wednesdays (MW) or Tuesdays/Thursdays (TR).
Classes after 4:00pm often meet only once per week for 165 minutes (with a break).
