Where do I register?

Registration is done online through Self Service Banner.

What is a prerequisite?

A prerequisite is a course (or qualification) required as preparation for entry to another course, lab or recitation.

When can I register?

Registration for the each academic year (September – April) begins in March. Registration for summer sessions begins in February.

What is a CRN (Course Reference Number)?

A CRN or Course Reference Number is a unique 5 digit number associated with each course/lab/recitation. The CRN for each course can be found in the "Look Up Classes" menu on Self Service Banner between the "Select" and "Subject" column.

  • 1XXXX = September - December courses
  • 2XXXX = January - April courses
  • 3XXXX = May - June courses
  • 4XXXX = July - August courses
  • 5XXXX = May - August Graduate level courses

What happens if I drop a class?

Dropping a class online, after the last day to add or drop classes each semester, can have academic and/or financial impact on you.

When is the last day to add/drop classes?

The last day to add or drop a course without a financial penalty is outlined in the Financial Withdrawal Schedule.

What is Self Service Banner?

Self Service Banner is a student system for online registration, viewing final grades and unofficial transcripts, and for paying and viewing tuition and related fees on your student account.
