The SSN enjoyed a celebration of new and returning scholarship recipients with staff, faculty and alumni over lunch and engaged in a discussion with special guest speaker Judy Steele, President & COO, Emera Energy.

Spring Connections Event on March 29, 2022

The SSN connected for its first hybrid event on March 29 to celebrate newest members, recent grads and joined in a discussion on the power of diverse teams and the role of women leaders in making the workplace more diverse and inclusive. Special guest speakers included Michael Medline, President and CEO at Empire Company Limited and its wholly-owned subsidiary Sobeys Inc.

Sobey Scholars Network Summer Connections Event on June 29, 2021

The Sobey Scholars Network gathered virtually on June 29 to celebrate the newest additions to the Network, including recent alumni, the new Sobey Next Generation Professors and Post-Doctoral Scholars and new and returning student scholarship recipients. Participants enjoyed hearing from special guest speakers and connecting through breakout room sessions.
