Saint Mary's University Reading Series

About Us / Current Season / Archive / Photos

For more than twenty years, Saint Mary’s Reading Series has welcomed many Canadian authors – fiction-writers, poets, authors of creative non-fiction – to our campus and the broader Halifax community. A true cultural institution, and the longest-running such program in Nova Scotia, the series presents both well-known and up-and-coming writers. This year, the tradition continues and, once again, we invite you to many memorable evenings. Meet your favourite authors or discover one, listen to work in the writers’ own voices, participate in our lively question-and-answer sessions, and get your book signed. Admission is always free, and books are available on site from Halifax’s leading independent bookstore, Bookmark. Thank you to the Canada Council for the Arts Literary Readings Series, whose funding makes many of our readings possible.
