Internet Interruptions Concluded

On Saturday, Feb 4, ITSS will be performing some network maintenance between 6am and 10am. This work is expected to periodically interrupt Internet access for the campus for a few minutes at a time, as network devices are rebooted.

Voicemail Unresponsive Concluded

Users are unable to check the voicemail messages due to the system becoming unresponsive immediately after mailbox number is entered. ITSS is aware of this and we are working to resolve this issue.

Wi-Fi Maintenance Concluded

All Wireless network access on campus will be unavailable between 5:00 am and 900 am October 16th due to system Maintenance.

Banner/Activate Unavailable Concluded

Fileshares Unavailable Concluded

In order to perform some important system maintenance, many departmental fileshares (e.g S-drive) will be unavailable on Saturday, August 20, between 7am and 6pm.

Specifically, the shares that will be impacted are on “smunet.smu.ca\shares\DeptShares”.

Personal fileshares (J-drive), the academic P-drive, and departmental shares NOT on smunet.smu.ca\shares\DeptShares, will not be impacted by this work.

Office365 Maintenance Concluded

ITSS needs to perform maintenance on our Office 365 environment. We anticipate the impact will be minimal, but users may experience connectivity issues with Office 365 between 7 am and 8:30 am AST on August 13. This includes email, Office 365 online apps, Skype for Business, etc.

We are currently experiencing problems sending from SMU email addresses to Hotmail, Live, Outlook.com accounts. ITSS is working with Microsoft to resolve this but it may take up to two days.

Banner Maintenance Concluded

- Scheduled Banner Maintenance, LIVE INB, SSB and Activate will be unavailable 8am to 8:45am on Tuesday, May 24.
