New Campus Access Restrictions for Students
Updated November 30, 2020
Saint Mary's University must temporarily increase campus access restrictions by our university community. This decision was not made lightly and we want to assure you that this action is not an indication of any change to the safety of the campus and our ability to protect the community.
These additional protocols will NOT negatively affect course delivery or exams.
Access to campus from November 30 - December 10, 2020, will be limited to students living in residence, and students with appointments for the following services:
- Student Health Clinic
- Information Desk in the Student Centre (9 a.m. - 5 p.m., visit smusa.ca for additional details)
- Patrick Power Library paging and curbside delivery service*
*While we initially planned on maintaining in-person and study space access in the Patrick Power Library, we have determined that this is not feasible at this time. From November 30 – December 10, 2020, the booking of study space in the Patrick Power Library is temporarily suspended; however, virtual operations and access to physical collections through paging and curbside delivery will continue. For more information on library services, please visit the Library's website.
As a reminder, Nova Scotia Public Health has updated gathering limits within Halifax Regional Municipality and is implementing a $1000.00 fine for any persons not following gathering limit directives.
