Diana Fox Carney is a highly regarded expert in global climate and energy policy, known for her ability to simplify complex sustainability and climate change issues for businesses. Her expertise lies in helping business leaders identify opportunities to combat global warming effectively.

With extensive experience in climate policy at think tanks in Canada and the UK, Diana currently chairs Helios CLEAR, a fund that focuses on climate adaptation and mitigation in Africa. She also provides guidance as an adviser to General Atlantic's BeyondNetZero climate fund and serves as a Senior Adviser at Eurasia Group. Diana lends her strategic insights to Techmet, a technology metals company, and Terramerra, a soil carbon company. Additionally, she is a trustee of the Shell Foundation, where her efforts are concentrated on enterprise solutions for energy access and clean transportation in Africa and India. Diana's professional journey spans from agricultural research in Africa to evaluating cutting-edge energy technologies. Notably, she has played a key role in developing frameworks for achieving "net zero" greenhouse gas emissions, emphasizing the importance of negative emissions and strategic capital allocation to support the right companies. Diana Fox Carney holds master's degrees in agricultural economics from Oxford University and international relations from the University of Pennsylvania. She is based in Ottawa, Canada.
