We have a list of virtual events and webinars you might be interested in participating in online.

We are excited to provide you with a full and vibrant on-campus experience in the Fall 2021 term. When you register, you will see that a significant number of courses are scheduled to be delivered in person. You will also see more online course sections as well as courses with online options. We will work with students who are unable to attend classes on-campus to see that progress toward degree completion is maintained. We are approaching fall from a standpoint of understanding and flexibility, and are happy to work with individuals to develop solutions that fit your needs.

Due to the extraordinary circumstances and COVID-19 measures in place, we understand the challenges you might be facing with gathering supporting documents to complete your application to the university. We want to assure you that we are still diligently working on processing applications.

For effective and prompt processing, we are temporarily adjusting our application process.

To help us make application decisions, Saint Mary's University will accept the following via email or uploaded directly to your online application:

  • scans (PDFs) of transcripts/documents you already have in your possession (e.g. report cards)
  • unofficial transcripts or report cards downloaded from the issuing school or institutional website

While we will use these documents, please forward official transcripts to our office once you can obtain them so we can verify results. During this temporarily adjusted period, we may still require official documents/transcripts before we can make a decision.

Nova Scotia students who have provided their Provincial Student ID Number, as well as Ontario students who provided an OUAC ID number and consent to download documents electronically, do not need to submit additional documents. We will access these transcripts electronically.

Knowing the challenges that the COVID-19 disruption presents, we are taking a holistic approach to student results. Now more than ever, we must show fairness and be equitable in our efforts to help students based on their needs and unique circumstances. Saint Mary's University is committed to working with schools and students.

Domestic students

If you do not write exams this year, we will accept results given out by your school. Scans of transcripts can be forwarded to us.

International students

For international students, we have processes in place for their applications. If you do not write exams such as IB Diploma, GCSE, IGCSE, WASSCE, and GCE this year, we will accept results given out by your school. Scans of transcripts can be forwarded to us.

We are happy to answer any questions and will work with all applicants to resolve any issues you may encounter when trying to access the documents required for your application.
