Online Career Modules
Career Services is very excited to launch our new Online Foundational Resume Workshop! This workshop is designed to provide opportunities to students who are unable to make our daytime workshops and still get the same insights, information, tips and tricks to help them succeed at their job search and resume/cover letter writing. Completion of this course via Brightspace will give you access to the Resume Walk-Ins and give students the same insight as taught on-campus.
By choosing this online course, you can learn about resume building on your own time, at your own pace. In the workshop you will watch three videos and read through three slideshows, doing a short quiz after each one.
Steps to Register:
- Go to https://smu.brightspace.com/d2l/home
- Click "Restricted Courses"
- Click "Self Registration"
- Select "Foundational Resume Workshop"
- Register and submit
- Begin your workshop!
Once you have completed the workshop to its entirety, you will be prompted to complete at "Final Checklist". Please bring a screenshot or printed copy of this to our Walk-Ins as confirmation of completion. See you soon!
Stay tuned for the launch of other workshops in the future! Once all modules are online, we will be converting this to a “Launching Your Career” certificate, which you will be able to get CCR recognition for completing.
