Volta Awards for SMUEC, Jutla

The Saint Mary's University Entrepreneurship Centre has received The Catalyst Award for their role in the Atlantic Canada startup ecosystem. The award recognizes the Centre as an organization that has helped create cohesion and growth in the ecosystem. The award was presented by Volta in a ceremony earlier this week. Congratulations are due to Michael Sanderson and his team.
Also receiving an award was Peer Ledger, Dr. Dawn Jutla's successful and celebrated startup, which received The Positive Impact Award. Peer Ledger also benefits from the involvement of Board Observer Dr. Michael Durland BComm'87 DComm'10. This award recognizes an organization that has implemented solutions for social, cultural and/or environmental issues. Dr. Jutla's work aligns with our PRME commitment. Dr. Jutla is the Scotiabank Professor of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation and founded the MTEI program in 2013.
