Erin Sargeant Greenwood, Saint Mary's University

Erin Sargeant Greenwood joined Saint Mary’s University in 2017 as the University’s first Vice-President, Advancement. Erin and the Advancement team provide leadership to the entire university community in deepening the university’s focus on strengthening relationships, encouraging and enabling people to connect and partner with the university.

Erin’s portfolio at the University includes Alumni Engagement, Development & Principal Gifts, Advancement Services and External Affairs. Together, these teams work to engage Saint Mary’s local and global community in philanthropic action to invest, share and celebrate in the success of the University’s students and faculty.

Erin came to Saint Mary’s from the University of Waterloo where she spent eight years in leadership Advancement roles, including two years as Vice-President, Advancement. At Waterloo, Erin was responsible for strategic fundraising and alumni relations programs across the university raising more than $50 million per year for university priorities.

Previously, Erin held leadership roles at York University, Nipissing University and Branksome Hall and as a consultant at KCI Philanthropy where she successfully led two hospital campaigns and worked with more than 15 not-for-profits across every sector as Associate Vice-President of the firm.

Curtis Scaplen, Action Consulting Group

Curtis is a proud father, husband, entrepreneur and is President of Action Consulting Group Ltd. He lives to challenge the status quo and is obsessed with solving customers’ problems. He was born in Saint John, NB and a graduate of the University of New Brunswick. A Business Development Specialist and customer-first, relationship-driven leader who has over 20 years experience across many industries. His curiosity and need for continuous improvement has led him all over the globe having worked on unique projects in every major city in Canada and over 30 countries globally, building iconic brands, and partnering with some of the world’s largest suppliers. He is passionate about the “why” and since moving back to Atlantic Canada from Toronto in 2015 he is dedicated to the growth and sustainability of the Atlantic Region. In his spare time he also volunteers with his church, as a connector with the HFXPartnership and with Saint Mary’s University and their students to help develop our future leaders.

Gregg Curwin, JenMar Business Design

Gregg Curwin is the Founder of TruLeaf Sustainable Agriculture; a world-leading indoor-vertical farming company; and also Founder of TruLeaf’s wholly owned subsidiary, GoodLeaf Farms; a branded packaged lettuce company.

Gregg is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in various industries; including medical devices, biologics, consumer packaged goods, and ag-tech. He has consulted hospitals and governments in the broad area of health design, with a recent focus on the role of food production in disease prevention.

Gregg is currently the principle of JenMar Business Design, a consultancy focusing on startups and early stage growth companies with a focus in Ag-Tech, Food-Tech, and Healthcare.

Gregg holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Saint Mary’s University, and is now the Entrepreneur in Residence at Saint Mary’s University’s Entrepreneurship Centre.
