David Sobey Centre Annual Speaker Event 2015/16

Mr. John Betts, CEO of McDonald's Canada, was the guest speaker at the David Sobey Centre Annual Speaker Event 2015. Mr.Betts gave an excellent presentation to Sobey School of Business students on October 2, 2015. The students also prevailed with some thought provoking questions and commentary for Mr.Betts.

Mr.Betts imparted his business knowledge and wisdom on such topics on how to strike a work/life balance and what qualities students need to succeed in the business world. Mr.Betts' down to earth nature was evident as he personally welcomed each attendee at this event.
A round table discussion followed the presentation. This allowed 15 students to ask Mr.Betts further questions and provide their thoughts on McDonalds Canada. Our international students also gave their views on how McDonald's differs around the world (beer in McDonald's in Germany proved to be a popular one!)
Mr.Betts attendance at the David Sobey Centre for Innovation in Retailing and Services Annual Speaker was a success. Attendees at this presentation gained business knowledge and wisdom from Mr. Betts' extensive work experience and business expertise.
