David Sobey Centre Advisory Council meets

After a busy first year of operation, the David Sobey Centre for Innovation in Retailing and Services has gathered an advisory council of well-placed retail executives and experts as the Centre begin its next phase, offering executive retail education.
On March 7, the first in-person meeting of this exclusive group was held on campus. Highlights of the day included an overview of the state of innovation in retail from futurist and council member Doug Stephens, plus a presentation for students, staff, faculty and members of the retail community by Andy Gross, retired CEO of Giant Tiger.
In addition to Gross and Stephens, the Advisory Council membership includes Julie-Toskan Casale, a committed philanthropist and founder of MAC cosmetics; Tim Pellerin, VP Customer Strategy at NSLC; Louise-Ann Comeau, co-Founder and Managing Director of Comeau and Monge Advisory; Vivek Sood, General Manager of Sobeys National Pharmacy Group; Diane J. Brisebois, CAE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Retail Council of Canada; and Daniel Baer, Accountant at Ernst & Young.
