Department of Geography and Environmental Studies
The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies is actively engaged in research in Nova Scotia and abroad on a number of topics. Students and faculty in the department are actively engaged in research in the following areas: climate change vulnerability and adaptation ; community-based conservation and citizen science; cultural interpretations of places, landscapes and tourist sites; geomorphometric analysis ; natural hazards, environmental change and their human impacts; rural and regional development; and urban development and planning.
