Gerald Fogarty S.J. presented a lecture on January 18 at Saint Mary’s University entitled, “The Historical Controversy Surrounding Pope Pius XII and the Vatican – Jewish Commission on the Vatican’s Role in World War II”. Fr. Fogarty is a member of the International Vatican-Jewish Historical Commission and and a professor of religious studies and history at the University of Virginia.
![]() Dr. Berit Aas, (left) an internationally renowned Norwegian social psychologist, politician, feminist and environmentalist conducted a workshop on January 11 at Saint Mary’s on the “Master Suppression Techniques”. The workshop was part of a seminar presented by Dr. Linda Christansen-Ruffman, Sociology (right). Dr. Aas also presented a public lecture entitled, “Looking Back to 2005: Environment, Peace, Equality and Globalization”.
