First Year Course Requirements
Bachelor of Arts:
In your first-year, we recommend using the Basic Arts Requirements as a guide for choosing courses.
The Basic Arts Requirements:
- Allow you to explore subjects from Arts, Science and Commerce.
- Help you develop important intellectual and academic skills that you will use throughout your program.
- Provide you with courses you can use if you decide to switch faculties.

Bachelor of Commerce:
In the first two years of the BComm program, students study the disciplines that are fundamental to business and explore individual interests.
In the final two years, students complete the requirements for their chosen majors and learn to make decisions integrating all of the functional areas of business.
