My name is Ethan Pancer and I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University. After working as a marketing analyst with IBM, Magna Automotive, and Rogers Communications, I wanted to learn more about the way people form impressions about products and brands as well as how consumers make decisions. I completed my Ph.D. in Management, concentrating in marketing, at Queen’s School of Business, where I also completed my B.Com. and M.Sc. in Management degrees. My research interests include consumer judgment formation and decision making, social and interpersonal influences on consumption, consumer identity, branding, and consumer well-being. My research has appeared in the Journal of Business Ethics,Journal of Advertising, Journal of Historical Research in Marketing, as well as national and international conferences. I have designed and taught courses on the Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Entrepreneurship, and am currently focused on teaching Marketing Strategy at the MBA and undergraduate level.
