What is CAPP?

  • CAPP is a program which allows students to monitor their academic progress throughout their University career. Your CAPP evaluation lists the degree requirements and summarizes progress based on your academic record.

Using CAPP:

  • To create a degree evaluation, view results and print those results using Self-Service
  • To explore the possibilities of other program and degree options 

Who can use CAPP?

  • Currently CAPP is enabled for Undergraduate Students in the Bachelors of Arts, Commerce, Science programs, Certificate in Mathematical Science for Education; as well as Certificate in Human Resource Management

When can you use CAPP?

  •  Anytime that you have access to Self-Service Banner. 

To access CAPP:

  1. Go to www.smu.ca
  2. Select Current Students
  3. Select Self-Service Banner
  4. Select Enter Secure Area
  5. Enter your SMU ID and PIN  and click Login.
  6. Select Student Information
  7. Select Student Record
  8. Select Degree Evaluation (CAPP)

Important Notes:

Evaluations are based on one major or minor and are NOT official.

This evaluation program is a new program and you are advised to compare the evaluation to the regulations in the Academic Calendar. If there is a discrepancy, the Academic Calendar will be considered correct. If you have academic questions about your evaluation, please consult your Faculty’s Undergraduate Program Advisor.

This evaluation is based upon the program and the Academic Calendar  you selected for evaluation. It does not reflect any course substitutions that may have been approved by your Dean or Departmental Chair.
