Business Development Centre
Student Consulting Program
Your University degree shows employers that you have the ability to learn – Now, show them that you can perform!
The Student Consulting Course will provide you with practical business experience by completing a consulting project for a Saint Mary’s University Business Development Centre client. This course will give you the opportunity to use your in class knowledge to solve a business issue.

Under the supervision of a SMUBDC staff member or SMU faculty member, your group will be responsible for completing a professional consulting report from proposal to final presentation. Projects generally take the form of a business plan, market assessment, or other business related function and often involve financial projections.

Select your own group for success! Are there other students that you would like to work with on this project? When you apply for the course, include the names of one or two other students that have applied for the course and we will set you up in a group together. Keep in mind, it’s beneficial to have a good representation of each discipline in your group (i.e. marketing major, finance/accounting major, etc.)
