If you prefer to email your ad to the Coordinator, please include the following information:

• Your contact Name and phone number.

• Address or location of the listing for rent.

• Date the accommodation will be available.

•  Accommodation type, for example: an apartment, a room, a house, or shared accommodations.

•  Building type

• The number of rooms available or number of rooms in the apartment/house/flat. (*If you are advertising for a roommate, please indicate how many people currently live in the apartment/house/flat).

•  Rent (monthly amount).

•  Is there a lease available? Is this listing a sublet? What is the lease/sublet end date?

•  What is included in the rent, for example: heat, hot water, electricity, cable, parking, etc.

•  Location and how far you are from Saint Mary's University, for example: South End of Halifax - 10  minutes walking; West End of Halifax - 20 minutes by bus or car; Dartmouth - 50 minutes by car; etc.

•  Facilities in the building, for example: laundry room, security doors, wheelchair access, furnished, parking space available, or if you allow pets, etc.

If you have any preferences, you should also make note of those. For example, you may prefer:

•  A non-smoker.

• A Male or Female.

•  Mature student, a Graduate student, young professionals, or Faculty/Staff only.

•  No overnight visitors, etc.

You should also indicate if you are close to any amenities such as, universities, grocery stores, movie rental outlets, shopping malls, or laundromats. You can include as much additional information as you like, but as a courtesy to the students, please keep your ad short and to the point.

Effective September 1, 2006, the fee charged to non-students for a listing on the Off-Campus Housing website was increased to $35. This new rate is not subject to HST and is not applicable to students, or faculty/staff of Saint Mary's University (some conditions apply). Students can continue to post one free ad per banner number.

At this time we are not set-up to pay on-line, please contact the office Coordinator at 902.491.8606, with payment information.   For your convenience, you cay pay by phone with a major credit card or drop by the Off-Campus Housing Office in Loyola Residence, Room 107 to pay by debit (sorry no cash or cheque payments).  Payment must be received before the listing can be posted to our website. Please note: a listing is one unit, flat, house, apartment, shared accommodation or room.

Students, Faculty or Staff, please call to provide banner number information (some conditions apply).
