Barb Stegemann to share winning advice

Barb Stegemann, CEO The 7 Virtues Beauty Inc and author of The 7 Virtues of a Philosopher Queen

Barb Stegemann, The Chief Executive Officer of The 7 Virtues Beauty Inc and author of The 7 Virtues of a Philosopher Queen, now in its third edition, will be the featured speaker at Saint Mary’s University Sobey Executive MBA Program dinner presentation.

The event will occur on Friday, February 17, at The World Trade & Convention Centre, Summit Room 5, 8th Floor where Ms Stegemann will expound on the ideals that business is the missing link to building peace.

Stegemann became a household name after appearing on top rated reality show Dragon’s Den where her innovation and persistence landed her in the history books as the first Atlantic Canadian to land a venture capital deal and to bring the Dragon’s to tears.

Her other notable achievements include being one of a small group of women selected by The Minister of Defense to be an Honorary Colonel for the Canadian Military; receiving the 2011 Women Innovator Award from the US State Department at the APEC summit from Ambassador Melanne Veveer; and  receiving nominations for the following: Chatelaine’s 2011 Women of the Year in the Entrepreneur Category; Manning Innovation Award 2011.

Stegemann holds degrees in Sociology and Journalism from the University of King’s College and lives with her family in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
