The sky’s the limit for the 8th Annual Sobey Leadership Forum on Thursday, March 8 as guest speakers, Robert J. Deluce, President & CEO, Porter Airlines, and Peter Spurway, Vice President Corporate Communications, Halifax International Airport Authority, share their insights on business and leadership.

An innovator in the airline industry, Mr. Deluce founded Porter Airlines in October 2006.Since then, ‘the little airline that could’ has delivered more than 2 million passengers to popular destinations in Canada and the US and was rated second in the world in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers' Choice Awards in the Top Small Airlines category. Mr. Deluce is also President of Deluce Capital Corporation, a position he has held since 1987.

Peter Spurway has worked in diversified communications and public affairs positions for 30 years, from education and politics to legal and healthcare organizations. As Vice President Corporate Communications for the Halifax International Airport Authority, Mr. Spurway is responsible for all corporate communications initiatives; advocacy and community outreach; and stakeholder and media relations. As well, he guides HIAA’s retail development and passenger experience.

The Sobey MBA Leadership Forum is a student-lead initiative that brings together entrepreneurs, members of the business community, students, alumni and faculty to discuss relevant issues. As experts in customer service, Robert Deluce and Peter Spurway are ideally suited to provide a first-class lesson in business leadership.
