United Way Kickoff Set for October 14

The Annual United Way Campaign Kickoff BBQ and Tug-of-War is being held in the Courtside Lounge of the Tower October 14 beginning at 12:00 noon.
This year’s campaign runs from October 14 through to October 30th.
The goal is to raise $50,000 for the United Way of Halifax Region to help fund more than 57 agencies that offer 100 programs to support possibility and potential for children, youth, seniors and neighbourhoods throughout HRM.
Last year, the university raised almost $48,000
This year United Way is celebrating 85 years in our community. When you support the Community Fund, you inspire courage and hope in our community. Your donation addresses challenging social issues through funded programs, support to residents in neighbourhoods and innovative initiatives like 211 to help people find the help they need.
