Tropical Storm Earl : The Day After

Tropical Storm Earl brought the predicted wind and heavy rain Saturday blowing down trees and knocking out power in large parts of the province.

The lingering impacts made the move into residences at Saint Mary’s a little more challenging than normal. New resident and staff took it all in stride.

On Sunday power was restored to all building at around 1 p.m.

The Student Services Expo was cancelled Saturday because of the lack of power. It is scheduled to resume Monday at 11 a.m.

Students can move into residence anytime until Wednesday evening Sept 8th.

“We will welcome students whenever they arrive, on the weekend or later in the week, “ says Jeremy Eastwood, Director of Housing and Conference Services.
