Saint Mary’s University Alumni Association Supports Single Parent Students

The Saint Mary’s University Alumni Association is pleased to announce that it will be raising funds for the Alumni Single Parent Bursary at its 9th Annual Time For Wine on Friday, February 12th, 2010 in the Loyola Conference Hall (903 Robie Street) from 7:00-9:00 pm.

To date, the annual wine sampling and silent auction has raised nearly $70,000 to support single parents who are studying at Saint Mary’s and balancing their scholarly activities with the increasingly challenging task of supporting their families.

“Along with being an enjoyable social evening, this important event helps to support single parents, both mothers and fathers, assisting them toward securing an independent future for themselves and their children,” says Event Chair Shelley Hessian.

Time For Wine will be hosted by CBC Radio’s Costas Halavrezos, and music will be provided by David Staples. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling (902) 420-5420.
