Media Release For Immediate Release October 23, 2008 McInnes Cooper donates $100,000 for health and wellness centre at Saint Mary’s The law firm of McInnes Cooper is helping Nova Scotians get healthy. The Atlantic Canadian law firm, one of the largest in Canada, will donate $100,000 to Saint Mary’s University to help fund a new fitness facility on campus. The facility will be called the Homburg Centre for Health and Wellness and construction is expected to begin next spring. Located on Tower Road, it will consist of The Tower fitness facility as well as a new Dauphinee Arena and a high performance training link between the two. The donation was made to the university’s $40-million Hearts and Minds Capital Campaign, the largest campaign in the university’s 206-year history. The campaign has already reached $37-million and helped fund the innovative $17.5-million Atrium and Global Learning Commons now under construction at the university.
