Media Release For Immediate Release October 22, 2008 Saint Mary's business student opens Moncton's biggest flea market Bargainhunter's in Moncton are in for a real treat thanks to the efforts of a Saint Mary’s student who is consistently being hailed by his peers as a real business guru. On Oct. 25, Moncton's biggest and most centrally-located market will officially open. The market will be operational year-round and will be open to the public every Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Called Dexter's Flea Market, the new facility boasts 18,000 square feet of indoor space. Located in Highfield Square (1100 Main Street) the market is located in what was formerly a Sobeys store. The market is being opened by award-winning entrepreneur Brad LeBlanc, a second year student in the Sobey’s School of Business at Saint Mary’s. LeBlanc was recently hailed as one of the Top Business Leaders of Tomorrow by the esteemed Atlantic Business Magazine. Since the age of 10 he has been the President and CEO of his own company, Engaging Entertainment. His hard work and tenacity as an entrepreneur has earned him a simple and yet unique nickname throughout the region: “The Donald Trump with red hair.” LeBlanc has been working on this project over the past several months and is excited to be opening the doors soon. "This is a great opportunity to create a social atmosphere which brings buyers and sellers together," said LeBlanc. He added that his main motivation for starting this, his newest company, was the fact that we all have at least little entrepreneur in us. LeBlanc, a Moncton native, said this is going to be a great addition for Moncton in that it provides an opportunity to truly see the diversity and talent of local vendors. Vendors of all types and sizes will be selling a vast array of items throughout the year: art, crafts, antiques, electronics, clothing, jewelry and more.
