Media Release For Immediate Release September 29, 2008 Saint Mary's students to present conflict resolution workshop for youth Students from Saint Mary's University will present a conflict resolution workshop at a youth symposium this weekend in Windsor, Nova Scotia. The workshop is called Peace Begins with Me, and it’s part of the Move Your World Youth symposium in Windsor from Oct. 2 to 5. The symposium will focus on global issues such as peace and conflict, poverty and food security, the environment and HIV/AIDS. Saint Mary's students Kathryn Bliss, Allyson Marsh and Becky Murray will talk to youth age 15 to 18 about their experience doing conflict resolution work in Belfast, Northern Ireland last year, as part of the Saint Mary's Northern Ireland Conflict Resolution Project. The workshop will also focus on teaching youth a range of practical conflict resolution skills and discuss the specific role of conflict resolution skills in promoting peace. The aim is to help youth develop skills and methods of activism on issues that matter to them.
