Media Release For Immediate Release Aug. 6, 2008 Saint Mary’s offers seminar to help call centre staff Call centres throughout Atlantic Canada will get a helping hand this year thanks to a new seminar offered by Saint Mary’s University. The seminar, Spotting the Opportunity, will be offered by Saint Mary’s University Executive and Professional Development in partnership with Sales Training Experts, a company that specializes in sales consulting, coaching and training. The seminar will help frontline call centre staff apply skills in observation, questioning and presenting to improve sales results and meet the needs of customers and clients. “Our business is professional development training and we pride ourselves on always offering our participants an engaging learning experience that’s guaranteed to be relevant and applicable,” said Gerry Martin, Program Director, Executive and Professional Development. “It is that shared goal that has made working with Paul Kidston and Sales Training Experts such a great fit.” The one-day seminar will be offered four times in the 2008-2009 programming year: Nov. 1, Jan. 24, March 14 and April 25. Classes will be held at Saint Mary’s University Executive and Professional Development facilities in the World Trade Centre in downtown Halifax. Paul Kidston, President/CEO, Sales Training Experts, will deliver the seminar. “Sales Training Experts is a leader in call centre sales training throughout Atlantic Canada. I am proud to have our company associated with Atlantic Canada’s leading business school, and look forward to hosting this pre-eminent sales training event,” said Kidston. This will be the only public offering of this seminar in Nova Scotia. There will also be a second seminar called Spotting the Opportunity: Coaching Program offered twice during the 2008-2009 schedule. This second seminar will help managers in the call centre environment gain the foundation skills needed to lead and motivate a team of sales professionals.
