Media Release For Immediate Release March 10, 2008 Look out Canada, this student means business Brad LeBlanc is set to set to show Canada his talent as an entrepreneur. This past weekend, the 19 year-old student from Moncton, New Brunswick won the 2008 Student Entrepreneur Championship that was hosted by national charitable organization, Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE). The regional competition attracted over 150 business students. The big win means he will represent Atlantic Canada at ACE’s National Student Entrepreneur Competition that will be held in Toronto, ON from May 12 to 14. The winner of this competition will receive $10,000.00. "The competition this past weekend attracted a number of extremely talented young entrepreneurs,” said LeBlanc, who is a first year student in the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University. “I was honored to be competing with such amazing young people. To win was truly extraordinary.” "I look forward to representing Atlantic Canada at the national exposition in May.” He indicates that he could not have accomplished the win this past weekend without the unending support of his friends, family, and mentors. He is now gearing up to compete against the cream of the crop in Toronto. "I will be competing against five student entrepreneurs in Toronto and I have no doubt this will be the biggest challenge yet,” he explains. “A good entrepreneur is able to turn challenges into opportunities and opportunities into victories. I will do my very best to do just that."
