BJ Retires

In July 1969, Betty-Jean (BJ) Frenette began working at Saint Mary’s University in the library, which was housed in the Burke Building.

She moved to the Alumni Office in 1988 and became an Alumni Officer in 1997. BJ was awarded an Associate Alumni membership in 1992 for her tremendous contribution to Saint Mary’s.

She has seen many changes in her 38 years with Saint Mary’s and has had to opportunity to meet many alumni from all over the world and participate in many exciting projects and ventures.

On December 31st, 2007, BJ retired leaving a strong legacy behind that will not be forgotten.

On behalf of the whole Saint Mary’s community and family we thank BJ for all she has done for Saint Mary’s and wish her and her husband Doug, the very best in their retirement and hope for many new adventures yet to come.
