Memorial Service for Shengwei Mao

A Memorial Service for Shengwei Mao will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, January 7, 2008 in the Saint Mary’s University Art Gallery. A reception will follow.

The University community extends its condolences to the family of Mao following his unexpected death.

Mao came to Saint Mary’s from the province of Gui Zhou, China. He was a student learning English as a second language at the Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Centre on campus.

The University continues to offer its support and condolences to the family during this difficult time with generous assistance and guidance from the Chinese community in Halifax and the Saint Mary’s University Chinese Students’ Society.
