ACS Grad wins Governor General's Gold Medal

Kimberley Berry, who is an alumna of Saint Mary's University, has won one of the nation's top awards for her PhD Dissertation.

She graduates this Sunday (Oct. 22) from the University of Ottawa, and at the ceremony will officially be presented with the Governor General's Gold Medal for writing an outstanding and extensive research paper on taxi drivers in Toronto.

She is a graduate of the Master of Arts (MA) program in Atlantic Canada Studies (ACS) at Saint Mary's and will be teaching at the University starting this spring.

Saint Mary's University is known for its community outreach projects, both in Canada and around the world. Saint Mary's, founded in 1802, is home to one of Canada's leading business schools, a Science Faculty widely known for its cutting-edge research, a comprehensive and innovative Arts Faculty and a vibrant Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research.
