Welcome to the Centre for

  Spirituality and the Workplace

"Positively and strategically influencing the conversation and

accomplishments about spirituality and the workplace globally"

As of September 2012, the Centre for Spirituality and the Workplace is no longer operational at Saint Mary’s University.

This website is for information only and will no longer be updated or maintained.

 About Us

The Centre for Spirituality and the Workplace (established in 2004) is the first academic-based centre for spirituality and work in Canada. Housed in the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Centre is both a centre for academic activities and a centre of influence in the community, the nation, and the world. The Centre reflects Saint Mary's role as a leader in research and community relationship building both locally and internationally. The Centre engages academics and practitioners in various sectors and organizations in collaborative and community-based research, and offers networking, support, conference, and consulting services. Because of the interdisciplinary and multifaith nature of work and spirituality, the Centre works with faculty from numerous departments and programs at Saint Mary's University and its affiliate, Atlantic School of Theology, as well as with other universities and religious organizations, to develop lectures, courses, and programs. The Centre celebrates and promotes Saint Mary's goal of personal development and wellbeing of all students.

Our heartiest congratulations to the winners.

Thank you to every one of you who entered the contest. If you entered a video you made a difference in forwarding the conversation about spirituality and work globally.

Thank you also to all those who watched and all those who voted. Over 12,000 people to date have watched the 35 videos submitted, and over 7,800 people, from 72 countries, have visited the contest's web-site.

We're going to leave the contest web-site up so you can continue watching the videos. We'd also really appreciate your support in telling people about the videos. We want to continue getting the word out about this treasure trove of videos on spirituality and work.

Why not take a month (actually 35 days) and watch a new video ever day!

Again my thanks to everyone involved.

Martin Rutte
Chair of the Board
