In fact, your international experience will begin as soon as you step foot on our campus. Saint Mary’s has one of Canada’s most internationalized campuses, with students representing 90 countries. Our globalized curriculum and your new friends from around the world will help you gain a better understanding of other cultures, ensuring that you are more prepared to land a job after graduation.
Some students want to graduate with an additional competitive edge, one that allows them to say they’ve lived in another country, developed a second language, and have learned about other cultures first hand. If this sounds like you, then consider completing part of your academic studies in another country through our study abroad program.
Saint Mary's students have opportunities to participate in international field study with their classmates and professors, summer abroad programs, and semester or year exchange opportunities. Scholarships and awards are dedicated to support international learning and our "tuition swap" arrangements allow Saint Mary's students to pay regular Saint Mary's tuition for courses they complete at a number of Saint Mary's partner institutions in over 17 countries.
The Saint Mary’s University International Activities Office is dedicated to assisting you to select the exact international experience to suit your needs, whether on campus or in other parts of the world. The International Activities Office is responsible for the broader internationalization of Saint Mary’s University and coordinates international projects and internships, and develops partnerships with universities around the world for international exchange programs.
