Future Students

Key Dates

Although Saint Mary’s does not have set admission deadlines, it is important that you submit your application and supporting documents in a timely fashion to allow for processing. Don’t wait until you complete your high school or post-secondary courses before you apply. Apply using your most recent official grades and make sure that you submit your final grades when they are available.

Here are some key dates to remember:

Start dates: September, January, May, July

If you are an Engineering student, you can only begin your program in September. If you would like to begin your studies in a different semester, you can start with the core Science courses and begin your Engineering courses the following September.

March 15: All complete applications received by this date are automatically considered for renewable entrance scholarships.

Early May: Registration for the September and January terms begins. It is important to ensure your application has been processed by this time to ensure you have the best selection of courses and timetables.

At least eight weeks before your intended start date: Apply for your student visa as soon as you receive your letter of acceptance. The length of this process depends on your country of residence and where you need to apply. You can find more information online from Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
