Accommodations

Saint Mary's University provides quality on-campus accommodations for conference guests and tourists. Over 600 modern, comfortable and affordable residence beds area available from May to August. For more information please view the Accommodations section of this web site.

Recreation Facilities

While on campus, guests can enjoy "The Tower" Fitness & Recreation Centre. Individuals can purchase a day pass or we can arrange a discounted group rate that gives you access to one of the most modern facilities in Eastern Canada, featuring the following:

• Group Fitness Room - offering a variety of fitness classes including Step, Cardio-Combo, Aerostep, Power Aerobics, Boxfit and more.
• Conditioning Centre - includes cardio, individual strength circuit and multi-unit cable machines, lightweights, stretching area and group cycling.
• Peak Performance Weight Room - includes plate-loaded machines, squat racks, barbells and dumbbells.
• Four squash courts.
• Jogging track (indoor and outdoor)
• Co-ed spa area with sauna and steam room.
• Changing rooms and towel service.

Parking

From May to August, guest parking is available in our Arena Parking Lot located on the corner of Tower Road and Inglis Street.

Beverage Services

We can arrange a cash or host bar to complement your event. Our house wine is Peller Estates, Oakridge Chardonnay or Cabernet .

Food Service

The university caterer, Aramark Campus Services, provides all food service on campus. Whether you want a refreshment break, light lunch or a formal dinner, Aramark Campus Services can fulfill your catering needs.

Catering Requisitions - also called the Requisition For Catering Services Form are available from Financial Services. These forms are both an ordering and payment tool. All requisitions must have an account number, authorizing signature and should arrive in the Aramark offices at least three working days prior to the event. In the case of late orders (less than three days), a faxed copy of the requisition must immediately follow all telephone requests; with the original copy of your request on hand in the catering office before the event day.

Minimum Orders - All catering services requests are subject to a minimum order charge of $20.00 plus tax. However, any group requesting multiple services in one day (i.e. coffee and replenishing, coffee then lunch) will be assessed for minimum charges on the total services and only one requisition is required. Please note that some menu items have a minimum ordering number (i.e. 10 guests for Oriental Stir-Fry.)

For groups of 50 or more, a Summer Conference Meal plan is also available in our dining hall. This meal plan features a choice of two entrées at lunch and three at dinner, vegetable(s), potato or rice, plus the following unlimited items: soup du jour, salad bar, fresh fruit, assorted desserts and beverages.

If a catering booklet is required, please call the Aramark Campus Services - Catering Office and one will be sent to you. Regular office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Campus Security

Security for your functions can be arranged on your behalf by Conference Services. As stipulated by University policy, any large public gathering (more than 100 guests) or an event that serves liquor must have Campus Security present. The ratio is one Campus Security officer for every fifty people.
