Institute for Computational Astrophysics
Prospective ICA Students
The ICA is dedicated to the development and application of high performance computing to the solution of complex astrophysical problems. While a number of institutions have the capability to perform large scale simulations, the ICA is one of the few with a focus on code development. There are a number of codes developed in house for use by ICA members, and there are opportunities for significant code development by those ICA students so inclined.
Members of the ICA at SMU are faculty members in the SMU Department of Astronomy & Physics, and teach and supervise students in the graduate and undergraduate programs.
