Work Smarts

Work Smarts is currently not accepting applications from employers. The SSBDC has recently launched a new federal wage subsidy program - Access-Ability. Funded under the Opportunities Fund by Service Canada Access-Ability provides each employer in the program over $21,000 in wage subsidies to hire a person with a disability. We are accepting applications from employers now with placements to be made between December 1st 2013 and March 31st 2014.

Are you an employer in Atlantic Canada who could benefit from a wage subsidy to hire a recent graduate?

The Sobey School Business Development Centre is pleased to provide federal wage subsidies to employers throughout Atlantic Canada to hire recent graduates.

This year we have placed over 80 graduates in career related positions with SMEs. Through Service Canada we have been able to offer each employer in the program over $11,000 in funding to help grow their business while providing valuable experience to new graduates.

Please complete this form to be contacted for future intakes of the program.

Are you a recent graduate from a post-secondary school in Atlantic Canada and looking for relevant work experience?

Eligible graduates are able to pitch the program to potential employers to help land their first career related position.

The project is funded by the Government of Canada. Some conditions apply. Please see job postings for details.
