Module 8: On and Off Campus Resources

The Counselling Centre sees students for intake on a drop in basis. Intake is a quick (up to 30 minutes) assessment to determine what is happening with the student, how we can help, and how soon they need to be seen. Intake also means that if you refer a student to our service they will be seen that day. If you are on campus after hours and are in contact with a student in distress or needing support, the University has contracted the counselling services of Morneau Shepell and students just need to call 1-855-649-8641 for telephonic, email, and web counselling, 24/7 in a variety of languages. For students who are in immediate distress, the Mental Health Mobile Crisis Team is the local agency to call at 902-429-8167.
