03/01/10 Ryer and Ramey, win at AUS Track & Field Championships Garrett won the shot put with a throw of 14.33m and the weight throw 13.88m ( personal best).  His win in the shot qualified him for the CIS Championships in Windsor, Ont. March 11-14.   On the women's side it was Ashley Ryer first in 1500m - 4:37.54 which was an AUS Championship record.  She also finished 2nd in the 1000m - 2:54.51.  She has qualified for both events at the CIS Championships.

02/08/10 Ryer wins 1500 m at Dalhousie Super Meet Ashley Ryer, a 4th year student from Seabright, NS won the women's 1500 m race at Dalplex on February 6. Her time of 4:30.1 ranks her in 2nd place in the CIS for the 1500 m.  Ryer adds this to her already impressive Cross Country wins.  Other Saint Mary's finishers were: Katie Myatt, 8th in the 600 m, Emilee Bendell, 2nd in the shotput, Alicia Wilson, 7th shotput, Brad Orchard 8th in the men's 1500 m, Joel Bergman 11th, David Knowland 14th and Tyson Churchill 20th.  In men's shotput, Garret Ramey finished 1st with a throw of 14.69 m.  The Huskies will compete in the AUS Championships, February 26 - 28.
