GROUP PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINING
Get a small group of friends (2, 3 or 4 people) together to share the cost of your own Personal Trainer to achieve collective goals. Some examples of training groups include New Years Resolutions, Sports Specific Training, Weight Loss/Tone Up, Beginner Training, Exercise for Older Adults, Abdominal/Core Training – the possibilities are endless. Fees for any Group sessions (2,3, or 4 people) are at a rate of time and half the above rates.
Larger Group Personal Training Rates (5 or more people):

Meet The Personal Trainers at the Tower:

Susan is a graduate of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and has performed with the RWB, Scottish Ballet, The Banff Centre for the Arts, and Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. She is a student of Capoeira, and is currently planning a performance with Human Landscape Dance in Washington, DC. Susan’s other interests include hiking, biking, and x-county skiing the beautiful trails throughout HRM and NS.
A graduate of Dalhousie University, Robert Brownell’s career began at the grass roots level as a Physical Education teacher in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Robert is a certified practitioner with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is the owner of Body Train, a professional service dedicated to strength and conditioning and personal training. Robert is affiliated with the Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic and is currently working with the 2009 Canada Games Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams. He is also affiliated with the National Training Centre (Soccer). Saint Mary’s University in Halifax has used Robert’s service since October 1998. As a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, his service has been used by Men’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball, and the Huskies Football Team as well as multiple assignments with other varsity programs.In addition, Robert has worked with all levels of hockey athletes in the East Coast League, West Coast League, American Hockey League, National Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior League.Robert’s services have been used by Myosymetries, a chronic pain clinic, and by Performance Physiotherapy, a full service physiotherapy clinic.In addition to the above affiliations, Robert continues to spend countless hours with individual clients providing consultation and fitness programs.
Kaleigh Meisner is a graduate of the Health Wellness and Recreation Program at CompuCollege, and a Certified Personal Trainer through Can Fit Pro. She has designed and implemented “The Biggest Loser” program at The Tower which has been a great success. She understands the importance of consistency in a training program and the difference it can make not only for a sport, but also normal day-to-day activities. Working at The Tower for the past two years, Kaleigh has significantly grown her clientele to include a variety of individuals from exercise beginners, to the Saint Mary’s University Cross Country Team. She has taught various bootcamps, strength classes, and basic yoga and is also the Promotion and Communication Chair for the Nova Scotia Fitness Association. Kaleigh enjoys training clients who are looking to achieve specific goals or improve their quality of life.
Thomas Kochanoff is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Thomas also has a B.A. in Social Sciences from Dalhousie University. He has worked as the Performance Coach for Saint Mary’s women’s varsity teams in Rugby, Ice Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball and Field Hockey. Thomas helped prepare Basketball star Justine Colley for her National basketball team tryout and Pan Am games with Team Canada. He has assisted the men's hockey team in fitness testing and some individual work with rehabbing players. Thomas' work with quickness and movement is opening up young tennis players to more explosive play. Thomas’ training approach is about results, using cutting edge drills, video analysis of the sport/activity and the newest movement base training concepts. Through Olympic lifts, plyometrics, yoga positions, speed/agility modalities or his area of focus, core stability and power, your goals become reality. He uses real life training to help elite athletes or active adults with better posture, fluid movement and less back pain. His Global 360 core work has helped elite golfers, young tennis players, runners, tri-athletes and national level hockey and volleyball/basketball players, allowing them to achieve improved speed/power and greater efficiency of movement for activity or sport level performance. His belief is to focus on training movement, more than just individual muscles. Thomas is currently training all levels of athletes from novice to those competing at the national level for their specific sports; additionally, he trains individuals preparing for the police, RCMP or fire department. His motto is "Life has no limitations except the ones that you set".
Peter Hičo is a certified Personal Trainer with the NSFA (Nova Scotia Fitness Association) and has worked at The Tower since 2003. Take advantage of his ability to translate appetency for performance & health of a motivated client into goals and to direct efforts of an independent, motivated trainee towards achieving the desired results. Peter grew up in Slovakia where he became acquainted with physical training as an athlete preparing for sporting seasons both as a competitive bodybuilder and as a fitness trainer. He came to Halifax to study at SMU where he graduated with a BSc in Biology. In Canada, Peter has volunteered with various associations in roles of a Fitness Educator and an Athletic Trainer. Currently, Peter enjoys a busy schedule of working as a paramedic in the HRM while he continues to study in a part-time program as an Advanced Care Paramedic student. Although Peter has limited availability, he aims to instruct his clients to adopt personal responsibility for and the associated pride of reaching their goals. Leah Wofsy is a Certified Personal Trainer and a Registered Holistic Nutritional Consultant. She has 5 years experience as a Group Fitness Instructor and has been a part of The Tower community since 2009. Leah is passionate about eating healthy and the impact it has on every aspect of our life. By combining that interest with her knowledge of fitness she is able to help clients become fit, energized and find optimal health. She enjoys helping people make the lifestyle changes necessary to realize their full potential. Leah enjoys running, after competing competitively in Cross Country for 4 years, and plays football for the Halifax Xplosion. She graduated from Mount Allison University in 2009 with a degree in Biology and currently works at the IWK Health Centre in the Centre for Pediatric Pain Research.Combining healthy eating strategies and fun, effective workouts, Leah will help you accomplish your goals and find energy and wellness! |
