Huskies 77, Tigers 75: At The Tower, sophomore guard Justine Colley’s drive against a double team with three seconds to go broke a 75-75 tie.

Susanne Canvin stole the inbounds to deny Dalhousie a last shot.

Courtney Thompson made two foul shots inside the last minute to force Colley to make her play.

Robbi Daley had 21 points, including a late three-pointer to get Saint Mary’s even, to earn player of the game.

Colley had 25 points and went 12-for-12 from the foul line. Maegan Seaward had 12.

Tia Gerwatoski had 19 points and 13 boards for Dalhousie. Thompson and Patricia McNeil each added 13.

Colley and Daley had early treys in a 14-5 run to open. Shannon Chapman’s three-pointer before the end of the quarter had the Huskies up 27-11.

Stephanie Hiltz hit from long range early in the second quarter to carve SMU’s lead to nine. The Huskies led 39-29 at the half.

Dalhousie had a big push in the third quarter and erased SMU’s double-digit advantage on Thompson’s three-point play to lead 48-47. The Tigers led 56-54 after three quarters.

SMU regained the lead in the fourth quarter with Daley’s three-pointer giving her team a four-point advantage with five minutes to play.

The scrappy Tigers got another three from Hiltz to lead by one with 1:42 left. Hiltz fed a streaking Gerwatoski shortly after for a three-point edge.

The Huskies are 3-2 and the Tigers 1-3.
