Saint Mary’s Huskies women’s volleyball head coach Darren Russell is pleased to announce the addition of Olivia Henderson to the Huskies roster for the 2012-2013 season.

Henderson, a 6’1 right side from Toronto, Ontario comes from the Ganaraska Wolves Volleyball Club and the Durham Attack Volleyball Club. In the past few seasons, Henderson captured a silver medal in 2009, a gold medal in 2010, and a championship with the Ontario Summer Games in 2010.

“I am very confident with my decision to attend Saint Mary’s University. I have heard many good things and I am very impressed with what I have seen at the school. They have great academic programs and an exceptional volleyball program. I am very excited to start the season with the Huskies in 2012.”

Head Coach Darren Russell commented, “Olivia is tall and will brings a lot of power to the team. She has a positive attitude, a hard work ethic and will fit in perfectly. Having watched her play last season in Vancouver, we know that she will have an immediate impact on our volleyball program and continue to make us one of the top teams in the country. We are very excited to have Olivia join our Huskies’ family”.
