Former CIS Player of the Year, Marc Rancourt and temmate Cody Thornton from the National Champion Saint Mary's Huskies are furthering their hockey careers in Germany. The duo are headed to Landshut, Germany and will join the Landshut Cannibals that compete in the Second German Professional League.

Rancourt, 2009/10 CIS Player of the Year, played five seasons for the Huskies and is only the 2nd Saint Mary's Player to be named player of the year. Thornton, was the Huskies top goal scorer in 2010 with 24 goals and had 3 goals and 5 points in the CIS Championships. Former Huskie, Brad Self, also plays in the league.
