Pridham, Fergus Lead Huskies to Shutout of nationally Ranked Aigles Bleus

Veteran Huskies Colby Pridham and Cam Fergus combined for all five Saint Mary's goals in a 5-0 shutout of the #4 ranked Universite de Moncton Les Aigles Bleus Saturday night at the Forum.


Fergus (Brantford, Ont) got things started for the Huskies with a short handed goal at 454 of the first period followed by a penalty kill marker from Pridham (Alberton, PEI) eight minutes later.


Fergus scored on the power play for his second of the night in the middle frame followed by two third period goals by Pridham to register the hat trick for the fourth year senior.


First year Goaltender Anthony Peters (Blyth, Ont) made twenty four saves to earn his first shutout of the season. Pierre-Alexandre Marion made thirty five saves for Moncton.


The Huskies move into a three way tie for second place with Acadia and Les Aigles Bleus with thirty two points. Saint Mary`s has won five of their last six games while the loss is only the second in eight games for Moncton.
The two teams will meet again next Saturday night in Moncton.
